Interface elements do not display​

Solution for HF x3:
Alt+X - 3rd tab - Initialize.

Solution for C4 x1:
Alt+X - Options - Game - Reset.

This most often happens with new items added during events or with bonuses.

Solution:

How to fix UI/chat font size being too small in the game​

Problem:

Installed the client, logged into the game, and all icons, skill bars, and chat look too small and unreadable?

Solution:

Check if your screen resolution is higher than you need.
  • Right-click on the desktop
  • Display settings
  • Scale 100%, resolution 1920x1080
*On 2K or 4K screens, the solution may not work.

Client/interface settings are not saving​


1. Client settings are saved when it is closed. To ensure your changes are saved:
  • open the client by running l2.exe from the system folder (1 instance)
  • make the desired settings and close it
  • then try to log in and check if the settings are saved
  • important: do not run the launcher during this verification step

2. If it didn't work and the settings were reset again:
  • check the attributes of the option.ini, windowsinfo.ini files and the system folder — they must be writable.
    (There may be a "Read-only" checkbox on the files, or read-only permissions on the system folder, the entire client folder, or the disk where the client is located) Remove the read-only checkmarks, grant write permissions.
  • repeat the client configuration procedure again, then exit. Check.
    If it works, you have done everything correctly and the settings will now be saved.
3. Now check the launcher:
  • run the launcher and immediately enter the game (without updating)
  • if the settings were reset, the files are likely being overwritten by your custom patch
  • you can check this in the launcher (the "Custom Patch" checkbox) or open the OptionEx.ini file with Notepad and find the line CustomPatch=
    - if it is set to True, you are using a custom patch
    - change it to False, save
  • launch the game through the launcher, make your settings, close the client, check
  • if done correctly — the settings should be saved

Useful information:

If for some reason you need different client settings for different characters (main character + box buffer), you can make a copy of the System folder or the entire client folder and configure each one for your needs.

Failed to check updater version / an error occurred while updating the updater​

Both types of errors indicate communication problems.
The launcher cannot reach the server, so the client cannot be updated.
Solution:
mobile internet, a different provider, that which is forbidden to advise)

Important note!!
With this error, it is possible to launch the client via l2.exe from the system folder.

Client updates must be performed manually: patch files need to be downloaded and installed manually.

This is a connection-related error.

Solution:

First, make sure that the internet is connected and working stably.

If everything is fine, try connecting through:
mobile internet, a different provider, or any other alternative connection methods available to you.

I click "Play" in the launcher - nothing happens​


After clicking the "Play" button in the launcher, absolutely nothing happens - the client does not launch, no errors, messages, etc.
Solution:
There is likely Cyrillic characters in the path to the client folder (using them is not allowed).
Rename the folders using English letters (numbers and spaces are allowed).

Example paths with Cyrillic (not allowed):
c:\games\la2era (good)
c:\игры\la2era (bad)
c:\games\линейка (bad)
c:\folder\клиент_ла2эра (bad)

When trying to update, the launcher asks to close all running client instances, but no clients are running, and after clicking "Yes", the launcher closes without showing any errors.

Solution:
Completely reinstall the client from scratch.

PIN code is lost or unknown - what to do?​


The PIN code is needed to perform any operations with game account passwords. You can reset or recover a password only if you know the PIN code.

Important! The PIN code is assigned automatically when the account is created and is sent to your email.

What to do if you don't remember / have lost your PIN code:

  • Log in to the Personal Account
  • On the left panel, click "Settings"
  • Find the "Reset Pin" line
  • Click the black Email button
A new PIN code will be sent to your email.

Внимание! Восстановление пароля невозможно без PIN-кода и доступа к почте:
Что делать если утерян PIN-код

Как восстановить утерянный или забытый пароль:
  • Заходим в личный кабинет
  • В списке игровых аккаунтов на сервере находим необходимый аккаунт
  • Нажимаем на этот аккаунт, чтобы развернуть содержимое
  • Нажимаем кнопку "Восстановить пароль"
  • Следуем инструкции на скриншоте

*Новый пароль придет на вашу почту!
