How to protect yourself from scammers' actions

In the vastness of the game world, scammers periodically appear who impersonate other players (including in the Telegram group) with the aim of deceiving others during in-game transactions.

To avoid losing valuable items and adena, we remind you of the basic rules for any trades and exchanges.

Before transferring items or adena, be sure to:
  • carefully check the nickname of the character you are trading with
  • do not trust loud words, screenshots, or false promises
  • do not rush when transferring valuables
line.png

trade_01.jpg

‼️ ATTENTION!

If the seller:

- offers an unusually low price
- does not accept negotiation, cancels, or switches from another character
- rushes the deal, acts nervously

You are most likely being scammed!

If something bothers you - ask the player to put the character on trade with the specified item, make sure you are buying what you agreed on and that the quantity/price are correct.

We remind players:
  • If impersonation (fake nickname) or identity fraud is proven - the fraudulent account will be banned, and the stolen property will be returned to the owner
  • If items or adena were transferred by mistake, without any fraudulent act - this is considered the player's responsibility, and refunds will not be made in such cases

‼️ Please be attentive! Repost this to your clan group or to your party members.

Scammers rely on haste and trust - do not give them that chance.

Playing on someone else's character (gifted, left permanently, allowed to play temporarily)

There is another side to this coin that many players often do not think about.

If a player logs into someone else's character — no matter if it's "temporarily," "to help out," "they gifted me the account," or "they let me play" — they automatically become a player who is responsible for everything that happens on that account.

The MA owner is the player who is the original owner of the game account/master account on which the character resides or is linked.

When account sharing occurs, the responsibility is mutual:
  • any violation committed from a shared character will be considered a violation by the MA owner, meaning that if the violation was committed by the player with whom the account was shared — the entire account will be banned.
  • if the violation was committed by the MA owner, and your character or character with your property was on their game account, then upon blocking, that character and your property will also be banned.
  • if the penalty is a ban on all accounts of the offender, then it will apply to all accounts that the player has logged into.
None of the following statements are considered mitigating circumstances during bans:

"I just logged in to play around"
"I didn't do anything"
"The account was gifted to me"
"That's not even my character"

From the perspective of the rules — a player who takes a character into use shares not only access but also the consequences.

An important point that is usually remembered too late:

save_items_01.jpg
Do not forget — the contents of the inventory and warehouses of a character that a player has taken from a friend / a person who no longer plays, etc. — belong to the MA owner.

If a player has invested their own funds, time, items, and so on — they are solely responsible for safeguarding their property.
The MA owner can at any time take back the game account/access to the personal account along with everything that is on it, or set an HWID lock.

And this will not be considered a violation.

This is a risk that the player assumes on their own.
save_items_02.jpg

Therefore, we draw a simple conclusion:

If a player takes someone else's character — they assume full responsibility for it.
And for everything that is invested in it.

If a player grants access to any of their characters/game accounts or personal account — they understand and accept full responsibility for everything that will happen thereafter.

Item Insurance on C4 x1

In the vastness of C4 x1, players can find insurance agents that allow them to purchase an insurance policy for their items.
с4_eve.png

Main currency:
Coin of Luck
Located in: Ivory Tower and Giran Warehouse

Assortment:
  • Insurance policy 6 months = 20 CoL
  • Insurance policy 12 months = 30 CoL
Any policy allows you to insure
1 to 3 items. If you need to insure more,
purchase another policy.

How to use?

  1. Purchase insurance for the required period.
  2. Place the item you want to insure in your inventory. Until the insurance procedure is complete, the items must remain in the character's inventory.
  3. Create a ticket in the support service, specifying the character name for whom the insurance will be issued, the list of items to be insured, as well as the time of insurance purchase and the duration.
  • It is necessary to understand that this service applies only to items that are lost through non-game methods (in the event that you entrusted your character's access details to not-so-trustworthy people).
  • If you change the enchantment level of an insured weapon, be sure to report this to technical support.
  • If you voluntarily cancel the insurance, you cannot use the active policy to extend the insurance.
  • If you pick up someone else's insured item after it was dropped, contact technical support to request the removal of the insurance from the item.
  • Insured epic jewelry has the "Insured" note in its name.
Upon expiration of the insurance period, the item is returned to the policyholder.
If the policyholder's nickname changes, you must notify the administration.

Inventory Protection on High Five x3

The essence and usefulness of protection lies in player security.
It is designed for those who do not want to risk their in-game valuables when granting access to their character to third parties.
It is also useful for "clan" characters, since access to them is typically shared by several players.

Protection prevents scams or spontaneous transfers of in-game valuables after which players lose their property.

Important! If there is no active protection, any player with access to the character can set it up. Therefore, it is highly recommended to set a password and enable protection yourself to avoid potential problems.

How to set up inventory protection

Log in to the desired character
  • press Alt+b and go to the character management settings
  • in the window that opens, enter the desired password
  • click "Change"
  • the password has been set, and a notification appears in the system chat
hf_01.jpg
For the protection to activate:
  • press Alt+b and go to the character management settings
  • you must enter the current password
  • click "Lock -> ON"
hf_02.jpg
To remove inventory protection:
  • press Alt+b and go to the character management settings
  • you must enter the current password
  • click "Unlock -> OFF"

Trade Fraud

One of the most common types of fraud is the substitution of items with those that have similar icons, or setting incorrect prices.
We recommend that players carefully check what exactly they are buying and at what price.

Below are examples of scams used by traders:

Important! If items were purchased due to inattention, this is considered the player's responsibility, and refunds will not be made in such cases.

What is HWID binding?
This is the binding of a game account to a specific computer.
Binding provides complete protection for your account, preventing login to any characters within the account from other devices.

How to enable binding:
Log in to the desired character:

  • type the command .menu in the game chat
  • find the line - HWID Binding and press the "Protection" button
hwid_02.jpg
Next, click the blue button.

To disable binding, repeat the steps.
hwid_03.jpg

What happens if a player tries to log into a character that is bound?
When attempting to log into any of the characters, the player will receive a notification as shown in the screenshot.
hwid_04.jpg

I turned it on, forgot to turn it off, can't log in from another PC, reinstalled Windows — what should I do?
Access to the master account is required.
Log in to your personal account.

In the account management menu, there is a button that allows you to unbind the active binding.
hwid_01.jpg

How to reset HWID binding if you do not have access to the MA:

Create a ticket to technical support with the title - Request to remove HWID binding.
This is a paid service costing 10 CoL. Review detailed information about the service.
Fill out the brief/questionnaire in the ticket (it is important to answer all questions as accurately as possible):

List of questions for removing HWID binding:
1. Write the names of your main characters that you play regularly (2-3 will suffice) and when they were last logged into.
- meaning characters that belong only to you
2. Write the name and account of the bound character that you cannot access
3. Report how long you have been playing on the character or how long it has been in your personal use
- for example 3 months or 2 years or 1 year and 5 months
4. Specify the date and time of your last login to this character or a recent login that you remember exactly
- Example:
last login: March 1, 2026 at 16:30
previous login: February 27 at 12:20

If the verification is successfully passed, the HWID binding will be removed.

RMT: what every player needs to remember

‼️ We remind all players! The purchase and sale of in-game valuables and accounts is prohibited by the project rules.
Before deciding to engage in RMT — think about whether it is worth it.

We sometimes encounter situations where players buy or sell in-game valuables for real money, hoping that "nothing will happen."
Such deals are often accompanied by promises from sellers: "it's safe," "no one will find out," "I do this all the time."

rmt_warning.png
It is important to understand a simple thing:
Any purchase or sale for real money is a direct violation of the project rules.

Sellers may say anything to convince you to make a deal.
Their interest is to sell.
When consequences arise, not only the seller but also you will be held responsible for them.

We want every player to be aware of the risks.

If RMT is confirmed, the consequences can affect far more than it might seem at first glance.

When a violation is confirmed:
  • accounts involved in RMT are banned
  • the violator's accounts that were not directly involved in the transaction may also be banned

This means the loss of not only what was purchased, but also everything earned through fair play!

We cannot control what third-party sellers promise.

But it is important to understand:

Any deal on the "black market" is a conscious risk of losing everything.
rmt_warning_01.jpg

Before breaking the rules for quick gain, ask yourself a simple question:

Are you ready to one day log into the game and see that all your accounts have been banned?

We strongly advise you not to risk your progress, property, and the time invested in the game.
Following the rules is the only safe way to keep everything you have earned and to enjoy your time in the game.

If you see RMT offers or encounter such situations — do not ignore it.

You can help identify violations in a timely manner.

We have prepared a topic that explains in detail how to report a violation and what to do correctly.

Read the topic: The RMT Threat!

An appeal to CLs, PLs, and players playing in groups!
As well as players who simply trust their characters to friends.

By granting access to your account to anyone, you give full authority to manage the account, its characters, and all in-game valuables. The project administration does not reimburse lost, stolen, or deleted items, nor does it compensate for any damage related to account sharing.

If the penalty for violating the rules is a ban on all accounts, this implies the banning of all accounts that the violator has logged into. That is, if you give your characters to a player who ends up banned, your characters will also be banned, since that player is de facto their co-owner.

Everything that happens to your account after you have voluntarily provided your login details to someone is solely an in-game matter and is your responsibility.
The same applies to any game items that you voluntarily transfer to another player.

To draw a line, we form a simple thesis: if you share your characters or items with another player, you have shared rights to those characters and all their belongings, as well as shared responsibility for the actions of those characters.

If you are not ready to bear such responsibility, never share your account details with anyone.
If you wish to protect your account from outsiders, use HWID binding:
In-game — Server Options > HWID Binding or in your personal account.

The RMT Threat

And how to do the right thing
Everyone, of course, knows the cornerstone RMT rule of any Lineage II project: the sale and purchase of in-game items and accounts is strictly prohibited. But what if, after a long time of wandering, some adventurer has forgotten these rules and, due to an unfortunate twist of circumstances, still violated them? Is there a way to dispel the looming shadow of the stern hammer of justice, and (what is even more important for an adventurer) to keep the illegally acquired, but still dear to the heart, items?

Yes. Such a possibility exists. You can not only decriminalize your violation but also legalize the acquired property.
Furthermore, you can receive an additional bonus from the project for your cooperation. To do this, you need to create a ticket in technical support, in which you provide a sincere confession of RMT, describe all the circumstances, and attach screenshots of conversations, and so on.

What awaits you:

BigIcon_Money.jpg

+15 Coin of Luck.
Full amnesty.
Full legalization of what was acquired.

What awaits the RMT offender:

BigIcon_Ban.jpg

Ban of all accounts by HWID*.
(*All characters that this player logged into)
Ban of all accounts that had RMT trades with his characters.

And remember, if you do not write a ticket about the RMT trader, someone else will. When an investigation is initiated, all your accounts (which will be identified through logs as they trace the violator's trades) will be banned, after which no sincere confessions will have any effect.

Be honest. Or be smart.
